Taking plates and Toby Jugs as a way of providing a door way to reveal unconscious elements. These were first made as a way of celebrating the 100 Toby jugs my mother had in her collection. What interested me was the way that such things can function to give a magical fantastic and enriching dimension to life, like mythological beings. Often there can be a social class prejudice against such things.
